The Jefferson County Building Department is dedicated to the pursuit of a safer living and working environment for the citizens of Jefferson County. In a cooperative effort between the citizenship, professional tradesman and professionally trained department staff, compliance of the State Building Codes ensures the opportunity for a safer future and the continued pursuit of the American Dream.

The Building and Planning Departments coordinate commercial and business licensing within the County. The forms listed below are provided here in pdf form for you to read and may be printed on your computer and filled out prior to submittal or the forms may be picked up at the Building Department office at the address above. Notice of Commencement form - Must be filled out, Notarized, and recorded with the Clerk of Courts by the builder/contractor and submitted with the building permit application.
